Loughton is located in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It has boundaries with Chingford, Waltham Abbey, Theydon Bois, Chigwell and Buckhust Hill. Loughton holds properties of many periods and has 56 listed buildings and a further 56 that are locally listed. Loughton has a vibrant High Road that includes many independently owned retails shops, restuarants and bars.

TRANSPORT..

Loughton is served by Loughton tube station and Debden tube station which are both on the Central Line. There are many bus routes which include routes by London Buses and Essex Council. If travelling by road Loughton can be reached by the M11 which links London to Cambridge at junction 5 (south).

ABOUT LOUGHTON..

With Loughton being bordered by Epping Forest there is always something to do. There are many picturesque walks or bike rides through the forest that will lead to Theydon Bois Village or the plains at North Chingford. Take a swim at the Loughton Leisure Centre or play lawn tennis and bowls at the local club. The vibrant High Road is full of fine restaurants, public houses and bars.
